Southern Tier Lyme Support is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization devoted to helping the Southern Tier community combat the growing threat of Lyme and other tick-borne diseases. ¹ We are dedicated to increasing public awareness through education, providing crucial support to those affected, and engaging in outreach activities that promote prevention and early intervention.  Our mission is to empower individuals and families with the knowledge and resources they need to navigate the challenges of tick-borne illnesses.

ABOUT MYRON SWARTS

Myron Swarts serves as the president of Southern Tier Lyme Support, devoting his time and energy to assisting our organization fulfill its mission: Southern Tier Lyme Support is dedicated to increasing the public’s awareness of Lyme and other tick borne diseases through education, support and outreach activities.  Myron is a Whitney Point native.

ABOUT THE PANCAKE EATING CONTEST

The pancake contest is an annual event and part of the Marathon Maple Festival in Marathon, NY.  Each year, contestants – supporting various organizations – line up on the stage of the Marathon High School to test their stamina and stomach against stacks of pancakes.  The 2024 winner consumed 27 pancakes to take the cake (ha!).  Let’s see if Myron can match him this year.
